Meet Sharon Alkire
My eclectic background gives me a unique perspective in Family Law, working with clients to develop creative solutions to complex problems. A Bachelor of Arts in Psychology coupled with years working as a zookeeper at the Oakland Zoo, where I fought for the needs of hyenas, meerkats and monkeys under my care, have enabled me to build a practice founded on empathy and fierce advocacy.
I have spent years giving voice to those who may feel lost in the system, having begun my legal career representing survivors of domestic violence. My passion is providing structure and sanity to what may feel like a legal and emotional hurricane in your life. You can expect one-on-one attention at Alkire Law as we create a course of action tailored to the particular details of your case.
I have deep roots in the Bay Area and work to promote the inspiration, initiative and diversity of my communities by participating as a board member of Women Lawyers of Alameda County and establishing the first Queen's Bench Bar Association of San Francisco Diversity Committee. I received my J.D. in 2012 from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco and was admitted to the California State Bar that same year. It was at GGU where I learned that the ideal of equality thrives in the ability to fulfill one's own potential, of having the opportunity to pursue life, liberty and happiness while living an authentic life. This forms the basis of my work as an attorney and a person.
